PENANG: The Moonlight Blossom Art Exhibition is now being held at the Ferringhi Garden Art Terrace until Nov 11, 2011. Housed within the Ferringhi Garden Restaurant, the event was launched in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Officiated by Wong Hon Wai, Penang exco member for Town & Country Planning, Housing and Arts, the exhibition showcases art pieces in watercolour, acrylic, oil and batik by more than 40 Malaysian artists.
Featured artists include Becky Choong, Lee Soon Yien, Chai Chuan Jin, Ng Kim Heoh, Cheong Pooi Yip, Heng Eow Lin, Lim Chern Kuang, Keng Seng Choo, Loo Foh Sang, Hon Peow, Lai Tiew Seong, Yeong Foong Meng, Mah Ai Ching and Teh Siew Joo.
The exhibition is organised by Impression Arts Centre and Campap, and supported by Ferringhi Garden.

“花好月圓”畫展開幕 黃漢偉：藝術提昇人文素養

（檳城13日訊）檳州房屋、城鄉發展及藝術委員會主席黃漢偉指出，城市人生活忙碌，有空時不如停下腳步，好好欣賞藝術品，這有助提昇人文素養。
他說，他曾經到非洲的小國家旅遊，發現他們雖然貧窮，卻極為重視藝術，當地的畫廊相當普遍，而且畫廊隔壁就是傳遞公司，可以將遊客看中的每一幅畫，送到全世界任何一個角落。
他上週日在峇都丁宜為“花好月圓”的畫展主持開幕儀式上，這麼表示。
該為期兩個月的畫展是由藝象中心、CAMPAP，以及丁宜花園餐廳聯合主辦；地點為丁宜花園餐廳樓上，歡迎公眾人士前往參觀。出席者包括在前檳城藝術協會主席許偉乾、藝象中心藝術總監庄夢軒、丁宜花園餐廳執行董事戴詠根等。（）
